# WIP 1.42.0 release notes
For when 1.42.0 is out.
## News
- This is the last release to support the following operating systems:
-- Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2012
-- macOS 10.13 High Sierra, 10.14 Mojave.
Tailscale releases after 1.42 will no longer install on these operating systems, though we expect to maintain forward compatibility for 1.42 with future releases for at least two years.
